How to make a Discord server banner
- Type your server name or a short welcome line.
- Choose a background and your colors. Add a logo or photo if you like, and pick Round photo on the left for a logo, or Full background for a scene.
- Turn on Show safe zone guide to check that nothing important sits too close to the edges.
- Click Download server banner. A short video ad plays, then a 1920 × 1080 PNG downloads.
- In Discord, open Server Settings, then Overview, and upload the file as the server banner. The banner option appears once your server has enough Boosts.
Design tips for a Discord server banner
- Discord shows the server name over the top of the banner, so keep the upper area quiet with no text or fine detail.
- Use big, short words. The banner is small in the channel list, so one or two words read better than a sentence.
- Pick a logo with a simple outline. A round crop hides the corners of square logos.

Do I need Nitro for a server banner?

Can I use this for my server invite background?
